Allie Keiner grew up in North Austin and began dancing competitively at a local studio at the age of eleven. After attending the Kirov Academy of Ballet summer intensive in Washington, D.C., she discovered her passion for ballet and began training more extensively upon returning home.
Throughout high school, Allie trained at Ballet Academy North, receiving pre-professional instruction and performing in productions such as Cinderella and The Nutcracker. She also competed at Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP). In addition, Allie was a member of North Austin Dance Artists, a competition team that offered both commercial and concert dance training. Through this program, she attended various conventions and competitions, training with choreographers including Erica Sobol, Lucy Vallely, and Ali Pflegher.
In the summer of 2023, following her graduation, Allie attended the DanceMakers National event, where she was awarded a spot in the prestigious “Collective” assistant program.
For the past two years, Allie has been a student at the University of Arizona, where she was a member of Ardor Dance Company—a student-run contemporary dance group—where she discovered her love for choreography.
Now back in Texas, Allie is thrilled to be teaching at Dance Empower and can’t wait to get to know all of the dancers!
