Kimberly Sederburg

It has been a dream come true to be able to start a dance studio in Georgetown, Texas. As with any dream, it started many years ago when Kimberly was only beginning her professional career.

Kimberly is originally from Aurora, Colorado where she started dancing at the age of 3 and never stopped. The majority of her training has been in Colorado where she trained at many different studios to become a well-rounded dancer in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, and Lyrical/Contemporary. She competed in high school with Ballet Guild and other competitions in Jazz, Lyrical, and Tap. She also performed in many ballet performances such as Nutcracker, Cinderella, and many more. She has danced professionally with Ballet Ariel and with Wichita Ballet. She took many master classes in ballet, jazz and tap from such people as David Taylor, G. Webster Smith, Tap Dogs, Mia Michaels and Savion Glover. She took many summer intensives at UNC and Boulder and was accepted to others outside the state. Kimberly now goes to conventions, teacher seminars and classes to keep her training up to date while challenging herself and her students.

Kimberly went to Friends University in Wichita, Kansas as a Ballet Major. She completed her degree at Metropolitan State College of Denver and received a BS in Adult Fitness and Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Injuries along with a Minor in Dance and Youth Psychology. While at Metro she worked in the training room with athletes and has training with injuries and injury prevention.

Kimberly started teaching children ages 3 to 22 when she was just 15 years of age. She choreographed for competition groups, solos, and duet numbers, which consistently placed in the top 10 with most taking 1st overall. In 2005 Kimberly started her own dance team at the church she attended in Aurora CO called CrosStep. Her team would perform not only for the church but also local churches in the Denver Metro area. They danced for Wiz Kids Tutoring and the Denver Nuggets. From 2011-2014 Kimberly choreographed for two high school Show Choirs in Oceanside and Vista CA. She has taught at Dance Movement (now Encore Dance) in Aurora, CO, Dance Intensity in Aurora CO, Carlsbad Dance Centre in Carlsbad, CA, Shadowridge Dance Center in Vista CA, and recently a studio in Leander TX. At all the studios listed she choreographed many award winning competition numbers and improved students technique. She is now excited to be working at our brand new faciltiy in the heart of Georgetown, TX.

Her biography would be incomplete without strongly emphasizing the relationship she has shared with Sabrina Miller and Miller's Dance Studio in Aurora, CO. Sabrina was such an inspiration to Kimberly both personally as well as professionally. Her strong tutelage and mentorship has been instrumental in the shaping of Kimberly's vision for a strong technical dance studio.
